It's been so long since I've posted. I really should start using this thing more. I will though. When I get more stuff up. :D

Just figured I needed an update. I don't feel like typing much. lol But, I've got a few projects in the works. Some will take a while.

Hi you guys!

I figure that since this is my first post it should at least be a bit interesting. So I'm going to talk about my trip to SAFF, the Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair.

I went with my dad and met two of my friends, Scape and Emily, there. This was my first time going and it was AMAZING! There was so much going on.

This is really just a post showing what I got. All of it was roving but that's because I'm learning how to spin and I wanted a few different things to try.

<- The darker batt is AstroBatts by Rocket Yarn. It's insanely soft and I am soooooooo looking forward to spinning it. The picture really doesn't do this stuff justice.

<-The blue/green/purple/yellow roving is louet and is 100% Wool Top.

I got this roving from Hanks. The salesperson that was present, I think the site said it was Ginger. D: we didn't really introduce each other. She was a complete sweetheart and I plan on buying more from them soon!

<- This was my WHOLE reason for going to SAFF. CAMEL HAIR! I've been looking for it for some time and have never been able to find it in any local shop. I found some online but, I don't have the means to purchase items offline. So, HANK'S CAME THROUGH! I was so close to not buying anything else from the fair then my friend held that up and I was gone. I'm super happy I bought it though. :D

<- I feel really bad because I can't find the receipt for this purchase and I didn't get a bag from the person I bought if from so I know nothing of this. >< I can't even remember what fiber is in it and I'd really like to know.

This stuff is made from MILK! It was the prettiest stuff that I bought. :D I'm not sure how it's made, some super secret thing, or whatever. But, it's really soft and I love it. I won't be spinning with it for a while because I won't be able to get any till next year and I only have an ounce right now and I don't want any to get messed up or wasted.

And last but not least:

This was by far the cheapest roving I bought for the amount it cost. I can't wait to spin it. I mostly got it for practice. ^^

It's 100% Southdown I believe.

Well that's everything that I bought. I have pictures of the animals but I'll be posting those sometime later this week. :D
